Visiting The Royal Capital London

London has been one of the most preferred holiday destinations for decades. The popularity of London is not something which has increased recently. The art and culture of the city has for long attracted thousands from all across the globe. It not only the visual spectacle of the city, which is undoubtedly available in abundance, the attraction is that of the performing arts of the place. The rich history of the city has also contributed to the increase in the popularity of this capital. Being the capital of United Kingdom, London has always held a royal stature in the minds of the tourists from all over the globe. The city is full of various attractions which date back to the time of the royal rule in the country. The days of the monarchy have indeed passed, but the glamour remains. It is this glamour and the attraction of the royal ways that draws in millions of travellers from all over the globe.

If we take a look at some of the most remarkable places to visit in London the top of the list will contain at least a few places which are linked directly to the English royalty. To begin with, the Buckingham Palace is a great place to visit where one will be able to check out the various attractions dating back centuries from the times when the kings and the queens were more than just ceremonial head of the country. Even when the royal heads are simply ceremonial in the present system of democracy, the Buckingham Palace has not its grandeur. The sheer brilliance of the arts and the architecture of the palace is a treat for the eyes. The tourists can check out the interior of the palace on a guided tour.

Close to the Buckingham Palace one will come across the Kensington Palace and the Kensington Garden. Both the palace and the garden are a treat for the tourists visiting London. The palace has guided tour available which will allow the tourist to enjoy the various attractions within the palace. The tourists will also be able to check out the artefacts dating back hundreds of years. The Kensington Garden is an open free to public area where the tourists will be able to enjoy a large number of activities as well. The Serpentine Lake itself is home to a number of special attractions and the tourists may enjoy boating in the lake as well. The others can enjoy horse riding and other activities in the garden. The garden itself is a beautiful place to spend some quality time.

Just beside the Kensington Garden is another royal garden by the name of Hyde Park. The Serpentine Lake is located at the junction of these two royal gardens. Hyde Park also has some other special attractions such as the speaker’s corner, and located close by is the Royal Albert Museum & Art Gallery.

The number of attractions in London relating to the royalty is plenty and one must take up an accommodation at the heart of the city to enjoy every flavour of the place. The four star hotels in London are perfect for those who do not wish to go over the top while selecting the hotels, and yet does not wish to compromise much in terms of luxury.
